As sure as springtime tulip and dogwood blooms come into their own this month, spring salmon fishing season is hitting its stride this time of year. In fact, Willamette River salmon anglers have enjoyed a strong run of fish the past few weeks and it’s only getting better on the river that runs through the heart of Oregon.
Sorry for the late upload! I only got time now to edit it and post it up. There also a ton of photos that go along with these video clips but I think Ill just leave it as is. Beautiful drive through constantly changing scenery, the ocean and sand dunes one minute and farms with markets the next. By the way the strawberry fields were unreal, driving along on the interstate at 110 – 120 kph and with the windows down the fragrance of the ripening strawberries was overwhelming. We stopped at a roadside market and bought more fresh fruit. We get California strawberries in our grocery stores but they don’t taste like the ones we got there. Watermelons ,99 each and strawberries .99 a flat… Travel a few more miles and another beach.. San Francisco is maybe 35 – 40 miles ahead.
